Davé in Paris is a tiny little Chinese restaurant which has been a regular amongst the fashion crowd for the past 30 years. It all started when Helmut Newton and Grace Coddington first set foot into Davé Cheung’s restaurant in the early 80s. Nowadays, people of all creative realms come here to dine despite the fact that there are no set prices and there is no menu.
I will be honest and say that my tast buds were not totally satisfied. I was however totally taken by Davé’s very charming personality. He gave me a tour of all the pictures which plaster the restaurant’s walls showing me David Bowie, Iman, Janet Jackson, Leonardo DiCaprio and some of his more recent guests such as Gabrielle Union and Dywane Wade. Davé takes a picture with every one of his famous guests. The amount of pictures is quite impressive. I was very intrigued to find out more about Davé (pictured on the 1st Picture; self-portrait in the center) and his passion for fashion. Guess I will have to come back again soon.
